Also known as Fibrocop, The Fibro Diva is Fibromyalgia Forerunner advocate Sabrina Dudley-Johnson.  Ms. Johnson is keenly aware of the need to develop empowerment-oriented programming for people of color, public safety workers, and men with chronic pain. 

As a retired/disabled African American Female police officer with Fibromyalgia, Ms. Johnson has personally experienced situations that illustrate the need for patient/family support, pain education, self-advocacy training, and pain awareness programs for employers.

Ms. Johnson has spoken before the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health, and Office of Women’s Health, and, the FDA.  Johnson’s volunteer activities include building public awareness of FM via Broadcast and print interviews, contributing to research publications such as "The Encyclopedia of Disability", and, "Participatory Community Research".  She has assisted in community-based research via "The CFS Empowerment Project" of Access Living of Chicago, the University of Illinois Chicago and DePaul University.  Besides founding and acting as the volunteer Executive Director of FACES, Inc. (the Fibromyalgia Associated Created for Education and Self-help) until it was dissolved in 2007 due to her health, Ms. Johnson also volunteered with the National Fibromyalgia Association’s Leaders Against Pain Coalition, the Power Over Pain Action Network, PANDORA, Inc., Chicago's Minority Health Association and The Disability Committee of FOP Lodge 7.
